HOW DO I KNOW WHAT TYPE OF WALL I HAVE ?

It’s so simple, You can easily test your wall by knocking on the wall. If it produces a hollow sound, your wall is most likely drywall, plaster, or wood. If you do not hear any echo at all, your wall is probably brick or concrete.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO MOUNT MY TV ?

A basic wall mount job on plaster or drywall will take a pro less than 1.5 hours to do. However, there are a number of factors that can prolong the time it takes to finish the job, such as installing concrete walls or dismounting your existing TV. In a more complex job, you can expect to take around 2-3 hours to complete according to your needs.

WHAT’S INCLUDED WITH THE SERVICE ?

– Installation of the TV wall bracket to mount the TV on the wall– Testing of the hardware and load testing– Any additional services you purchase or willing to pay an additional cost (e.g. dressing cables, connecting external devices, etc.)– If you do not buy a TV mount from us, please make sure you purchase the correct type of mount before your booking appointment.

IS IT OKEY TO MOUNT A TV ABOVE A FIREPLACE ?

The job will be more difficult due to the wall type most likely being brick and the possibility of heat damage to your cables or your TV over time. But yes, of course, you can mount TVs above a fireplace if you keep the factors above in mind.

WHEN THE TV MOUNTING SERVICE IS COMPLETED WILL I SEE THE CABLES ?

If you choose to hide the cables behind the plaster wall or use a trunking to hide the cables for an additional cost, tv mount mate’s pro will bring a trunking or an appropriate tool to you and your pro will install the trunking to conceal your cables or conceal the cables behind the plaster wall. If you do not let us know the option you prefer, your cables will be visible.

WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT ?

An installer can help you determine the best spot based on the location of the power socket, the location of wall studs (to support the weight of your TV), and where you plan to sit while watching the TV. In addition, please clean the area where the TV will be mounted. If you need help moving furniture, please let your pro know so they can help you. Lastly, make sure your TV power cable is long enough to reach electrical socket.

DO I NEED TO HELP LIFT THE TV?

We will ask you when you contact us whether you or another adult will be available to assist the pro in lifting the television If the TV is 48 inches or larger in size. If not, we will send another pro at an additional cost to ensure that your TV is safely lifted into place with.
